Meet Mobile Music Lessons student Sahaana! Get to know her in the Q&A below:
Q: What is your favorite piece to play?
A. Chopin's Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor
Q: What has music taught you?
A: Failure as a learning opportunity: Every single mistaken note in any song is a stairway to achieving proficiency.
Q: Who is your favorite artist?
A: Martha Argerich: a lot of her recordings from the 1970s show her as a soloist in front of a whole orchestra and feature her playing advanced, beautiful pieces. Even in her older age, the music keeps her alive. She is a role model for me.
Q: Anything else you'd like to add?
A: I got my first acoustic piano a few months ago and I’m absolutely thrilled! Learning on a living, breathing, changing piece of art blows my mind. (Related: Learn about the value of a quality instrument.)
